Typically reserved for palliative indications in metastatic disease, emerging evidence supports the use of local consolidative therapy to prolong survival and time to progression in selected patients with limited metastases. During this talk, we will review the data supporting this approach, discuss the role of stereotactic ablative radiotherapy in patients with oligometastatic cancer, and identify the patients who may benefit from local consolidative therapy.
